Petoskey Knows How to Have Fun

Like any lakeside town, Petoskey knows how to have fun. There’s just something about life on Lake Michigan that puts everyone in the mood to celebrate. From spring festivals, concerts and 4th of July fireworks over Little Traverse Bay to our downtown Christmas Parade and the Petoskey Winter Carnival, you’ll enjoy a front-row seat to the summer’s coolest happenings and winter’s hottest events.

    Thursday, June 18 has been dubbed, “The Art Lover’s Night Out on the Town,” and that’s a pretty apt description of what will happen on that Petoskey evening. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, participating galleries will open their doors in an open-house style and delight you with art, music, and snacks. If you time it right, you’ll even get to meet some artists! There’s a fun “walking map” available; you collect dots as you travel to different galleries and you’re given a chance to win prizes at the end of the night. Get a babysitter for the kids and enjoy the beautiful summer night in Petoskey.

On Saturday, be amazed by chalk artists and taste every kind of chocolate imaginable at “Chalk & Chocolate.” While you don’t quite have kiss summer goodbye this soon, it’s a lovely way for your family to start to wind it down.
